Claim Checker

Privacy

The short version: nothing you type is tied to you, and there is no account to tie it to.

What we keep

The text of each claim, the verdict, and the studies that were read, stored anonymously. That is what makes the trending list and the 24-hour cache work. There is no user record: no name, no email, no account, no IP address stored with a check.

An anonymous thumbs up or down when you give one, tied to the claim, not to you.

What stays on your phone

Your recent checks live only in your browser's storage so they open offline. Clearing them on the home screen, or clearing site data, removes them. We never see that list.

Where a claim goes

To check a claim we send its text to two services: PubMed (the U.S. National Library of Medicine) to find studies, and Google's Gemini API to turn the claim into a search and to weigh the studies. On Google's free tier, Google's terms say submitted text may be used to improve their products. Don't paste anything you would not want read.

Rate limits

To keep the free AI quota fair, the server counts checks per IP address for ten minutes in memory. Nothing is written to disk, and the count disappears when the server restarts.

No tracking

No analytics scripts, no advertising, no cookies. Fonts and images are served from this site, not from a third party.
